Hosting FAQs

1. What can I host on Lebanon Locals?
You can host either a guesthouse (a room, apartment, or full home) or a local experience such as a cooking class, guided hike, farm tour, or cultural workshop. You’re welcome to host one or both — all you need is something authentic to share.

2. Do I need to own property to become a host?
No. If you don’t have a guesthouse, you can still host by offering an experience. Many of our hosts don’t rent rooms — they offer food experiences, outdoor activities, or traditional crafts instead.

3. How does hosting work?
Once approved, you’ll create a listing that includes photos, a description, pricing, and availability. Guests will book directly through the platform, and you’ll receive a notification to confirm or decline the booking. After the stay or experience is complete, you’ll be paid automatically.

4. How do I get paid?
Payments are made securely through Lebanon Locals. Guests pay at the time of booking, and you’ll receive your earnings after the booking is completed, minus a small service fee. You can choose to be paid via PayPal or Stripe.

5. Can I choose my own pricing and schedule?
Yes. You are completely in control of your availability, pricing, and rules. You can adjust these at any time from your hosting dashboard.

6. What support do I get as a host?
Our team will help you create your listing, prepare for your first booking, and offer ongoing support. We also provide guidance on quality standards, best practices, and guest communication.

7. What if something goes wrong during a stay or experience?
We offer a Host Guarantee that may reimburse you for certain types of property damage. If you have any issues with guests or bookings, our support team is here to help you find a solution quickly and fairly.
